"Alright, it's a fucked up Altirian rabbit. It's still not going to say anything."
The rabbit bounced then, leaping higher than he would have expected a rabbit to be able to, and landed in Giovanni's reflexive hold. There it settled down, flopping limply over his hands.
"Fifteen's all I get, eh?" He looked up at the crow. "Did she really mean for me to scale the wall?"
"We're here for information, Ven," he reminded his partner. "She's our best in so far."
"Then hopefully this isn't a trap."
"The one-tap wonder doesn't fall for traps." Gio uttered as he took hold of the wall.
"It's not important," he shook his head. "We're both risking our safety with this conversation, so let's make it quick."
Roo looked pensive for all of a moment. "You're right; I don't know. I was hoping you might have an idea, since you seem good at escaping things. Escaping the Hold. Escaping the Nightriders. I'm still not sure where you got that knife from..."
Roo fell silent on the other side of the line. "Melat?" she asked after a few minutes. "What did she look like?"
"Right," she agreed, trying to gain her footing once more. "Um... um, we're in the back of the hold right now. So... there'll be patrols coming through here, but right now they're on the other side of the property, which means we have about... seven, six and a half minutes?" she'd made sure to time the security teams, but who knew how long their discussion had cost them? "Maybe less. There's also two borders that we'll have to slip through, and you've seen the watchtower. There'll be three guards in there to keep an eye on the left and right sides of the woods, as well as the inside of the Hold. So... if we can make it past all that..."
“Feofil…” she said slowly. “I didn’t send anyone, and that doesn’t sound like any of Ghyrrie’s people. You said she came on my orders? Did she only go to the basement?”
