Feo tried not to let her see his face fall at the troubled tone in her voice, instead going to fetch his pajamas so as not to freeze. Had she gotten in her head as he feared? Had something gone wrong during the act that she was dealing with now? Or worse... had it just been... bad?
"We can sleep in tomorrow. Papers be damned." he decided as he pulled on his pants. Feeling already a little cozier, he slipped underneath the covers beside her and breathed a contented little sigh. "Hey."
"Hey," she replied quietly, rolling over onto her back to stare up at the ceiling. Part of her wanted to be as far away from him as possible, but at the same time, navigating back to her room in the dark sounded like a bad idea. And she would have put more space between the two of them, but the downy mattress kept sinking anytime she pressed against it, so they ended up sliding together anyways. And... as morose and dull she felt now, she didn't want him thinking that she'd gotten off and was now turning him away. Even though that sort of was what she was doing, but it wasn't the sex. It was about everything else, everything that came after.
"I can see you thinking about something," he pointed out, glancing towards her out of the corner of his eye. "What's up?"
"Just thinking about everything we have to do tomorrow." she replied, allowing their conversation to fall into a lull.
"What's on your mind?" He wondered, folding his hands over his stomach.
"I must've really done a number on you if you're asking me the same thing again." she managed a scoff. "Didn't I just tell you?"
"What, that's all I get?"
"What else do you want to hear about?" she asked. "The sex? It was-- just that. Fun. Good."
"Thanks. I'll be sure to put that on my Yelp page." He watched the ceiling as the oil lamp on the nightstand flickered, pausing. "Was it your first?"
