“But there’s no good reason to push off all that paperwork.” she sighed, pressing her chin to his chest. “And there’s so much damn paperwork.”
"There's plenty reason," he dared to brush his hand against the soft warmth of her cheek.
She closed her eyes blissfully. “Like what?”
"Recovering from the stress..." he listed off, adding a bit more sheepishly, "Enjoying each other's company..."
“Yeah? How?”
"I wouldn't mind kissing you again," he admitted.
She reached up to curl a finger around his hair. "You wouldn't mind? Is kissing me that shitty?"
He frowned in thought and nodded. "It's a sacrifice I'll make."
