Feo dropped his head into his hand, sighing. "Everything is a little off right now."
Feofil practically facepalmed. "Mom, we're not trying to make a big deal out of it. Why scare everyone when nothing happened?"
He watched her face change almost imperceptibly as she spoke, before she deflected his gaze with her hand. She described it simply, but the scene must have been anything but. For Parisa to be pushed to violence like that, to cross that barrier... That sort of thing changed you.
"Is it... dead?" He asked, though for a demon death was an obstacle, not a wall.
What the hell was going on in that country? He'd heard that demons were commonplace among Altirians, but this was ridiculous. Unless it was a targeted attack? That thought darkened his mood further, though now wasn't the time for that. His hand moved to near her elbow, not making contact, though the intention was there. It had been so long since Pari had been like this in front of him. Whatever had happened in that house must have shaken her to her core.
He pressed his lips together, "And Feofil..?"
Of course he had noticed the lack of his presence both in the room and the story. He only hoped it was innocuous.
Kyros bit his lip. She had a point about Sparrow, though he didn't like it. "You're right, I guess. At the very least we should get Sparrow's advice on the situation. I just... I don't like it. We need to make sure you two are safe-- actually safe."
If he lost either of them, or god forbid both of them...
"I did." He defended, throwing the closet open, though they were nowhere to be found. "Wh-- the window?"
His lips held firmly together, suddenly facing with mounting uncertainty at their rescue. Roo had assured him they'd know it was them because they would let themselves in-- but if the creature already inside decided to play mind games? If the phone call itself had been a trick? His fingers wrapped themselves around Pari's slender wrist, communicating for her to follow his lead and still.
"She said break it a little bit."
"... Roo?" Feofil called out finally, tentative.
This made him glance towards the din of the party. "Ooh, you wanna get a roooom?" He made himself laugh. "We can go into my room, down that way," he gestured.
