"I swear on your life, if I find out you're lying..." Kyros threatened.
As Kyros high-tailed it out of there, his cheeks burning, he texted Pari:
Fucking hell.
"The world won't end if we leave it for tomorrow," he insisted.
"Hey," Leriph appeared at their side, grabbing the guy by his shoulder. "Back off, asshole."
"There's plenty reason," he dared to brush his hand against the soft warmth of her cheek.
"Throw yourself a bone," he retorted, as if that comeback was any good, and accompanied it with a rude gesture. "It's my party."
"I wouldn't mind kissing you again," he admitted.
He frowned in thought and nodded. "It's a sacrifice I'll make."
"Will you stay in the meantime?" Feo asked Saskia.
Feo raised his eyebrows, just a little. "What's that supposed to mean?" His voice was on the fence, allowing her a chance to clarify before he took offense.
