"Well, yeah, I'm eager," he stumbled over his words. "You're gorgeous."

"No..." he confessed softly, his breath kissing the tender skin of her jaw. "I realized."

"That's just my face, moron," Kyros spat back. "You're not special. What happened before that?"

"I'll make you sorry," he uttered, then had a moment of second thoughts. If he really wasn't at fault, this wouldn't be a good look for him, but it wouldn't do to undermine himself now, in front of all these people. "Just leave her alone."

"What did you call me?" Kyros, who had taken a step away, turned. "Say it louder."

Kyros's arm whipped around as if to strike the boy, but instead he stopped abruptly, holding up a finger. His gaze was intense, consumed with a buildup of rage that had nowhere to go. "Don't talk to me like that."
He dropped his arm promptly and turned once more, keen on keeping this quickly escalating situation as controlled as possible.

Feofil stared up at rafters in the ceiling from his horizontal position on the bed, watching their shadows flicker in the warm glow of the oil lamp as Pari cleaned up in the adjoining bathroom. His chest rose and fell rhythmically as his breath returned to him, a sheen of sweat dotting his brow. Their bodies in motion had made the room warm despite the bitter cold just outside the window. With each exhale he felt himself returning to earth from whatever high heaven his mind had escaped to, and the chill crept back in as the fantasy ebbed. That had been-- quite frankly, amazing, almost indescribably so. To press into each other so wholly, skin against bare skin, so intertwined that they melded into one, it was like nothing he'd ever expected. Especially in contrast to his daily fight to tear Parisa's stubborn walls down. Tonight, she'd forgotten the walls and just... unlocked the door. And it had been stunning.

He wondered what had gotten into them. Was demon-killing some sort of aphrodisiac? It would explain the Altirian population. This wasn't a sane evolution of their relationship, at least not according to all the external variables. But somehow it had felt inevitable. The longing had been so palpable ever since their move-in that it had quite literally driven them both mad. What now? It was a big question. He rolled onto his side, enjoying the cool feeling of the silken sheets on his skin, and closed his eyes for a minute. Now, he figured, it was time to rest. What awaited them in the morning was not a problem for this moment. In this moment, all he would do was bask in the ecstasy and relief of it all.

"Hello...?" Leriph continued, stumbling down the hallway off the kitchen that led to the bedrooms. "Damn it, is she gone already?"

"She dumped him." He texted, then added in another message, "He claims it was because of me. Did you get her to spill yet or not?"

Good, a trap. What the hell am I supposed to do about this Gabriel thing in the meantime? It was awful, Pari.
