“Feo,” she sighed. “I don’t…”
“Feo,” she sighed. “I don’t…”
He tilted his head slightly, encouraging, "All you'd have to do is show up. You don't owe him anything else."
She looked at him scowlingly, but dropped her shoulders. “… fine.”
“Fine?” Saskia had been preparing for a lot more pushback. “Really? Okay, I can… just give me a minute and I’ll get it set up.”
"Are you okay to do that?" Feo asked of his mother.
“Yeah, of course. It’s no skin off my back,” Saskia assured him. “Hey, how did you two get rid of that demon?”
Pari glanced towards the stairs. “It’s that man.”
"Roo's guy." Feo clarified. "...Something is deeply wrong with him."
“I think so too,” Pari agreed. “He all but confirmed that he’s been doing stuff like that for years. And we all know how shady Sangria is.”
“Hmmm,” Saskia squinted thoughtfully. “Well, I suppose we should just be glad he’s on our side.”
“For now. I don’t think Roo has any sort of leash on him.” Pari shook her head. “He’s a time bomb.”
"The important thing is he was here and he dealt with the situation." Feo concluded.
“Exactly. Now, give me one second,” she said, cracking her knuckles expertly.
Soon there was a large portal yawning open against what had once been an innocuous wall. Pari looked at it suspiciously, then back to Saskia. “One hour, that’s it.”
“Take as long as you need.”
“Again. One hour.”
"Will you stay in the meantime?" Feo asked Saskia.
